Thanks for the great pictures and the video! I was at Bayfront this morning, and noticed a drone hovering overhead at several points during the event.

Probably same drone we saw at five points on Tuesday. Some say it was the Sheriff's done.

Sorry. It was difficult to reach everyone. We make announcements in the Facebook group for "We Are Indivisible Sarasota." We will have more of these protests. On Wed, March 12, we are holding an organizing meeting for a possible town hall in April. It's at 5:30-7:30 pm at the Fruitville Library at 100 Apex Rd, Sarasota, FL 34240. You're welcome to attend.

Love it!! Seeing the fed up masses come together fuels the incentive to “drain the swamp” which has been MAGA and company all along. Kudos Sarasota!!!

Hope that is happening in your neck of the woods. Inspiration is a major benefit of protesting.

The home of the brave. Wonderful piece. Love the shout out to Rachel Maddow. Everyone should go on You Tube and catch up with her last week or so of shows. She’s really covering important events and topics you probably won’t see elsewhere. Keep it up, I love seeing the cracks in the red, especially. Gives us hope. Carry on.

Great work y’all! Protests in red states in MAGA strongholds are most effective. I was in one on the Statehouse steps in Salt Lake City. Utah last week! The Utah Legislature has become a testing ground by the Heritage Foundation for Project 2025 items and they are successful no matter how much resistance they face. Utah legislators are making it a practice to ignore voters opinions. They do whatever the hell they please. Maybe the voters will wake up some day and realize that MAGA is a millstone around the necks of their freedom.

Sadly, more than a few MAGAs live in Sarasota. Trump Media and Technology Group has offices in Sarasota, somewhere on Cattlemen Road. Roger Stone and Mike Flynn run some kind of organization in Sarasota and they often hold rallies and talks. The U.S. headquarters of Rumble, a right-wing social media company that hosts Truth Social (or did at one point), is located on Longboat Key. So I think Jeff Fox’s description of Sarasota as a MAGA capital has some merit.

Whoa! To clarify, lest people get the wrong impression, the CITY of Sarasota, as opposed to the county, has a Dem majority city commission. Additionally , in the county last year a slate of General Flynn supported anti-vax, pro Ivermectin candidates for our public hospital board of directors was soundly defeated by a coalition of moderate Rs and more than a thousand Ds who organized to register for the closed primary as Rs. A few MAGAs live here--I mean the beaches are beautiful, right--but this is hardly the MAGA capital you suggest.
